The parallels between a fallen empire and a fading one:
The parallels between a fallen empire and a fading one:
The latest far-left cause de jour is equal access for LGBT people to the bathroom and locker facilities that they “identify” with. See Charlotte, NC. This is dangerously anti-women and anti-children and simply absurd. Notice that nobody is talking about people who are genetically women using men’s facilities, only men using women’s. This is where the obvious danger is but the left is too blinded by ideology to see. As I have said before, in the hierarchy of grievances LGBT trumps women almost every time.
“When he (Rahman) said Allah enjoined all Muslims to wage jihad until Islamic law was established throughout the world, the scriptures backed him up.
When he said Islam directed Muslims not to take Jews and Christians as their friends, the scriptures backed him up.
You could counter that there are other ways of construing the scriptures. You could contend that these exhortations to violence and hatred should be “contextualized”—i.e., that they were only meant for their time and place in the seventh century. Again, I would caution that there are compelling arguments against this manner of interpreting Islamic scripture. The point, however, is that what you’d be arguing is an interpretation.
The fact that there are multiple ways of construing Islam hardly makes the Blind Sheikh’s literal construction wrong. The blunt fact of the matter is that, in this contest of competing interpretations, it is the jihadists who seem to be making sense because they have the words of scripture on their side—it is the others who seem to be dancing on the head of a pin. For our present purposes, however, the fact is that the Blind Sheikh’s summons to jihad was rooted in a coherent interpretation of Islamic doctrine. He was not perverting Islam—he was, if anything, shining a light on the need to reform it.”
Quite disturbing, to anyone with a brain:
The fact is that radical Islam is a backward, medieval, and at times brutal belief system that needs to dramatically reform or be eradicated, and it is time that the liberal west woke up to that.
A fantastic video that everyone under 30 (including grade school kids) should be required to watch:

To leftist elites (Dems) and the left-wing media complex, leftists violence and unrest is good. But similar unrest coming from the right (Trump) is bad.
Interesting comparison. I disagree, however, that Trump has done irreparable damage to the GOP given how feckless and incompetent the Republican establishment is. The establishment needs to go away. I agree that Trump is not the best choice, but many on our side feel they have no choice right now. A new national Republican Party is needed. Interestingly, I can make the case that the GOP at the state and local levels has never been stronger.
Interesting expose of political strategy gone awry:

The popularity of Bernie Sanders right now is stunning, especially among the young. But when you consider that most under-30s have no concept of what socialism really is, it is not so surprising. Socialism has killed far more people since the dawn of the 20th century than any other political system, conservatively more than 100 million. Every dopey high school student, college student and millennial should be required to read the following:

Racialists, leftist racists and radicals have damaged the national conversation beyond repair:

Or thanked, depending on your view. Whether you like it or not, much of America is looking for the anti-Obama: a pro-US, anti-PC, protectionist hawk with an authoritarian streak.
