While visiting my home town last week for Thanksgiving, I went for a pre-feast run. Running through a very affluent neighborhood, I saw one of those annoying virtue-signaling lawn signs, the type that only leftists put up. You know “no person is illegal”, “love is love”, “Black Lives Matter”, ect. The usual leftist, SJW gobbledygook. It got me thinking. Maybe I should post a reply, so here it is.

All lives matter, including black babies aborted by the millions

Abortion is murder

Capitalism is the only way out of poverty

Government dependency is another form of slavery

Science IS real: anthropogenic global warming is an unproven theory at best, fraudulent at worst

Countries need borders

Illegal immigrants are breaking the law

We are a nation of laws: if you don’t like them change them

The Federal government has no business mandating alternative forms of marriage

Good grief! Leftist snowflakes have decided to attack “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving” over perceived racism. Charlie Brown’s black friend, Franklin, is seen sitting by himself on one side of the table, in a chair that malfunctions at times. Call the police! I have more for them. The show is also misogynistic because Marcy has to sit by herself, and is promoting “date-rape culture” because Peppermint Patty is sitting next to Chuck. Now the truth: Charlie Brown was integrated at a time when almost no cartoons or comic strips were. And Franklin was not portrayed as some “inferior”.

The problem is, you can find an “expert” to say almost anything these days, and many of these people are not “experts”.

More: “Just 10 years ago, not to mention at any time in recorded history, that headline (the above) would have been regarded as so absurd only a satirist or an opponent of science would have written it.” So true. Leftists live in alternative reality. The problem is, it is a dangerous alternative reality and they want to FORCE us all to live there.

Today In Stupid Leftism – Senate Popular Vote

The left is not known for its intelligence or understanding of civics, but this is the dumbest thing to come out of their ranks in a long time. People complaining that the Dems lost 2-3 Senate seats yesterday but won more votes! Uh, they had 26 seats up and the GOP only had 9, and they seem to have kept 22 of those 26. Even more, California had TWO candidates in the general run-off for Senate, resulting in almost 6 million votes or the ENTIRE “popular vote” excess. Man, are these people stupid. Leftists do not understand basic math.

An (Attempted) Objective Assessment of The 2018 Election

Well, that was fun. Regardless of the outcome, I, like probably 99% of Americans, am glad it is over. Context first:

In the Senate the GOP had a clear advantage with 26 of 35 races being Democrat seats and many of them being in GOP-friendly states. In the House the GOP faced an uphill battle with close to 50 retirements and historical trends pointing to the party in power typically losing 30 seats or more, and up to 63 (Obama). The Dems needed 23 to flip the House. The story was similar among state governors where the GOP had a number retiring or term-limited and started with an all-time record 33 governors.

The good: the GOP is poised to gain a net three Senate seats pending the outcomes of Florida and Arizona and the Mississippi run-off, the latter a near-lock as the state had two Republicans run, diluting the vote. This would take them to 54 with pick-ups in ND, Indiana, Missouri and Florida and one narrow loss in Nevada. They also appear to have lost Montana, unfortunately, by a few thousand votes. The Senate controls the judiciary and a large part of legislation, so expanding their number is huge to Trump and the GOP, especially with the electoral map being less Senate-friendly to them in 2020.

The not very good: the GOP lost control of the House as expected, but so far the losses are a net 26 (29 lost, 3 gained) so not as bad as many feared or projected. Furthermore, over half of these came from a mere six states: NY, NJ, VA, PA, IA and IL. A few more losses are expected perhaps bringing the number of total seats lost to around 30 or a little higher. This was not the “Blue Wave” that the Democrats and far-left media had been trumpeting. Dare I say, if the GOP had a more normal retirement number of 20-25, they likely would have held the House? On the governor’s side, the GOP appears to have lost seven states while gaining one, while the Dems picked up 7. Again, about as expected. Not great but given the all-time high of 33 states held, the GOP really had no place to go but down.

With this, I would say both sides largely held serve, and call it a minor loss for the GOP. Winning a couple more Senate seats and holding a few more governors or keeping the House would have been a huge win for the GOP and Trump, and they were not that far off. This was not a resounding Dem victory: do not listen to the corrupt media propaganda calling it such. But it was also not a victory for Trump, despite the way he is positioning it.

Graphic language warning. A leftist newspaper reporter calls GOP Senate candidate John James and forgets to hang up after leaving a voice mail. She is caught on tape saying “fucking John James. If he wins that would SUCK!” No, there is no bias in media. The American news media is a complete joke. Thankfully the reporter has already been fired. John James represents the left’s worse fear: a minority (black) conservative.

Michigan: Please Vote For John James

Debbie Stabenow is not an offensive bomb-throwing leftist like an increasing number of Democrat pols these days, but she is a reliable vote for Democrat leftism and socialism. She is also nearly invisible in the Senate and has been voted one of the least effective members of that body annually. That is the problem, she does almost NOTHING. That is how she has survived. She is up against a young, thoughtful, successful black conservative, combat vet and automobile executive, and apparently has her hands full. Michigan – do the right thing and vote for Mr. James over this do-nothing troll.

NJ Star-Ledger: Vote For Corrupt Democrat Because, Well, He’s a Democrat

And there is no left-wing bias in media, LOL! These clowns masquerading as journalists unironically state that they are “concerned about the rule of law under Trump” and then go on to admit that Menendez is a criminal. “Did you catch that part about the rule of law? They are literally saying the rule of law is at stake unless you vote for this crook who is lucky to be walking the streets.” Self-awareness is not a feature of leftists or Democrats.
