Things Obama needs to say about black crime but won’t:
He was uniquely positioned to bring to light and address the problems of minorities and the poor that are their own doing: unwed mothers, drugs, thug culture, crime, lack of personal responsibility, poor education (you can blame this one on the government and teacher’s unions). Not that racism doesn’t exist but it is far from the root of any of these problems. Instead he cast blame entirely on imagined institutional racism and white, making the situation far worse.
A writer makes a strong case for Obama. I second it.

A terrorist killed close to 100 people on France’s independence day with, wait for it, not a gun, not a bomb, not even a knife….but a truck.
Let’s go leftist buffoons: try to make your normal tortured argument about how, if we ban guns, we can stop such atrocities. I am waiting for the call for “truck control”. What leftists will never understand is that banning guns will do nothing to stop terrorism, or crime for that matter. That is, unless we can eradicate guns from the planet, which will never happen. Motivated criminals will always find a way to get a weapon or use what is at their disposal. The root causes of such ills must be identified and addressed. In this case, radical Islam must be confronted and crushed. In the case of a lunatic, removing them from society before they act is the solution.
When a white racist guns down innocent black church goers, our president instantly can divine his motivation (as well he should) but deceitfully projects blame on, take your pick: whites, Christians, conservatives, Republicans, gun owners, or al of the above.
When a Muslim terrorist guns down dozens in an Orlando bar and claims loyalty to ISIS, he cannot be sure of the motivation and scolds us about blaming those who share the same religion and race. When a black man murders five cops in Dallas and tells us it was about race, he repeats this process. It is a strange hypocrisy he exhibits, if not out-right duplicity.

With the FBI letting Hillary Clinton slide last week in the email scandal, Obama’s overt agitation on the issue of race, and Ruth Ginsburg’s open politicking on the presidency, the US is looking more and more like a Banana Republic.
In the case of Clinton, this is hardly the first time the rule of law has not been applied evenly, but does anyone for a second believe that if she was not “Hillary Clinton, presumptive Democratic nominee” that she would not have been indicted? This is a very dangerous precedent and signals loudly that laws that apply to most do not apply to our political elites.
As far as Obama goes, his foot-in-mouth racial advocacy blew up in his face with the murders of five Dallas police. But even that could not stop him from pontificating. He is not a leader or uniter…he is simply a clueless, incompetent ideologue.
Finally there is Ginsburg, whose critique of Trump was so unprecedented that even the NYT and WAPO took to criticizing her. She has rarely hidden her far-left ideology, but by making such public statements she has proven to no longer be fit for the bench. One must wonder if she is nuts. She has done untold damage to what is supposed to be an impartial body.
Where I was once angry at such things, I now find myself deeply saddened. The country is in serious trouble with a government like this.
After 35 years I have let my Sports Illustrated subscription lapse. It was partly due to the deterioration in the quality of writing. But more important was SI’s increasing advocacy of far-left causes: perceived racism, radical trans-genderism, in your face advocacy of gay rights, and even “global warming”. As if to prove my point, SI just put “Bruce” Jenner on the cover of their “where are they now” issue. You would have had to have been in a prison on Pluto for the past two years to not know about Jenner.
As bad as SI has become, ESPN is far worse. They have run off most of their older talent under the guise of “cost-cutting”, inexplicably replaced qualified journalists and former athletes with numerous minorities of dubious qualification, punished employees who dare stray from their radical left orthodoxy, and openly advocated radical left SJW causes like transgenderism and Black Lives Matter. One need look to further than their “courage” award to Jenner at the 2015 ESPY’s and their celebration of “Black Lives” at this year’s self-congratulatory awards.
Sports in general and ESPN in particular have always had ample minority (black) coverage and content as it should, but ESPN seems to have gone overboard in the past several years. Between radio, the web and TV, it is increasingly hard to find programming or content on ESPN that isn’t entirely focused on black athletes and race. It is as if they are trying to become the BSPN. Excellent journalism like Bill Simmons “Grantland” has been replaced with entirely race-focused garbage like “The Undefeated”.

Race-baiters like Michael Wilbon and Jason Whitlock have been given prominent voices at ESPN. Their new approach is stunning, given ESPN’s falling ratings and questionable demographics of their new format. Charges of overt anti-white racism from some of their recently fired employees, like Curt Schilling, are beginning to sound credible. But it’s not just white analysts who pay they price. Ray Lewis was fired when he dared to criticize black-on-black crime.
Like I did with SI, I am pulling the plug on ESPN.

And Ginsburg’s recent anti-Trump ranting will not help this. The four left-wing justices vote in lock-step over 90% of the time and are hopeless ideologues. Something that has shockingly not been discussed in a broad swath of the media. But GOP appointees are constantly being hammered as right-wing zealots.
