Unfortunately for them, this narrative crumbled to the ground when it came out that the Uvalde police did not despite being on site within several minutes AND have all the tactical gear they needed to take out the shooter. The good news? People are fighting back. Recently Louisiana decide to stop doing business with Citibank and Bank of America over their anti-gun policies. Neither will be allowed to assist the state with its hundreds of millions in municipal bond issuance. This will hit the banks hard. Citi and B of A were the first large financial institutions to crack down on the financing of this legal, highly regulated product. Bravo Louisiana! More states need to stand up to these corporate bullies. Oh, and let’s remember, Chicago has among the stiffest gun-control laws in the country.

Mexico is among the most-violent nations on Earth and sadly sits on our border. It’s murder rate is at least three times that of the “violent” US, and one study determined it was second only to Syria in murders during 2017.

Leftism Deserves Most of The Blame For School Shootings
Cultural rot and misguided Obama policies are largely to blame, not “guns”. Under Obama, the Department of Education stupidly passed rules making it nearly impossible to punish or expel troubled, often violent students, under the guise that it was unfair or “racist” to do so. Unbelievable. What did Oblunder and his odious Education Secretary Arne Duncan think would happen? Hopefully Trump will rescind this idiotic rules. Ironically, some of these same leftists are now proposing that public school students now “walk-out” or no longer show up for school until action is taken on gun-control. I applaud this totally – it will help private schools and home-schooling even more.

Let’s Try To Actually Do Something About Mass Shootings
And simply banning a gun or some type of mag will do nothing. Some of the worst gun violence on the planet occurs in some places with the tightest gun-control laws: Mexico, Venezuela, Brazil. The left’s solution is always “more government”. Well, in Florida multiple government agencies failed to do their jobs. How is “more government” going to prevent criminals or the insane from getting weapons? How has government-dictated “gun-free” zones done anything other than advertise to criminals “come and attack, you will be unopposed”?

Another horrible mass shooting and 17 people are dead. We are lucky it wasn’t more by all accounts. Never one to let a crisis go to waste, the far-left and Democrat politicians (one in the same) have renewed their shrill calls for gun control or total confiscation. Here is a question for these leftists: would gun control have prevented 9-11, the France truck terrorist attack, Oklahoma City, the NYC truck terrorist attack, or the worst school killing in American history?
No, it wouldn’t have. Here is a simple fact: the far-left is not interested in protecting the people, it wants to control them. Without a gun the crazed lunatic would have likely used other methods. It is a fact that gun violence is way down in this country while these rare but abominable mass shootings are up.
Why is that? Instead of looking for the root cause of such acts and preventing them (everyone knew this guy was nuts and violent) the left wants to confiscate an object. I don’t know why this is happening but lets look at some possible factors: the breakdown of the family (the left likes this) leaving many alienated youth. An epidemic of depression and prescription drug use, fueled even more by tech addiction and social media. A breakdown in the mental health and law-enforcement systems. Mass consumption of violence in our pop culture including TV, movies, music and especially video games. Rather than eliminating guns (only criminals will have them, just ask Mexico or Venezuela) the country needs to take a long hard look at the causes of this phenomenon and attack them head on.

Let’s go leftist buffoons: try to make your normal tortured argument about how, if we ban guns, we can stop such atrocities. I am waiting for the call for “truck control”. What leftists will never understand is that banning guns will do nothing to stop terrorism, or crime for that matter. That is, unless we can eradicate guns from the planet, which will never happen. Motivated criminals will always find a way to get a weapon or use what is at their disposal. The root causes of such ills must be identified and addressed. In this case, radical Islam must be confronted and crushed. In the case of a lunatic, removing them from society before they act is the solution.
