For those of you who are fans of the band Rush or early 80’s rock, you will get my reference to a future in which cars are banned. Well, with the advent of driverless cars, it is not so hard to see a dystopian future where driving, though not cars themselves are banned once overzealous government bureaucrats decide that humans are not fit to drive. This thoughtful piece questions our over-reliance on technology and our over-willingness to surrender our basic freedoms.

Leftist New England States Running Out of Power At Worst Time

Leftist states like those in the Northeast and Left-coast are trying to move to “clean energy” full-time. Problem: when the calendar turns to winter, solar power is of little use. Even worse, when it gets really cold wind power becomes less efficient. The result is that certain New England states are now finding their electrical grids taxed as power needs have increased, causing them to resort to burning less-efficient oil just to keep the power on with a resultant spike in prices. Stupid leftists. Oh, and how about that “global warming”?
