The woman is a leftist/progressive, and apologized but that did not matter. Two women at the party who were deeply “offended” then shopped the WaPo until they found someone to write a story and name names. The woman has subsequently lost her job.

So there you have the American Marxist left: destroy and average Jane over something so silly and innocuous it defies description.
