Covid Will Destroy Many Colleges If Things Don’t Open Up
Virtue-signaling leftist institutions like the Cal State system have already announced no in person fall classes. They do so at their own peril. Already students are beginning to shun the on-line model if it means full-time. Universities have greatly over-invested in sports facilities, classrooms and palatial dorms in recent years that could be empty. Much of it was financed with debt. Government will soon run out of bail-out dollars and donors who usually fund endowments are bound to cut back due to tough economic times. The lock-down must stop, immediately.
Covid Craziness
As with most crises real and imagined, unprincipled people in power and know-nothings with a megaphone (media) will usually try to take advantage of the situation and change the rules. Remember a mere two months ago when shutting down our entire country and sheltering in place had to be done to prevent the medical system from becoming overwhelmed? Mission accomplished. The medical system was never overwhelmed. In fact, many hospitals are facing financial ruin because, wait for it, THEY HAVE NO PATIENTS! Next it was “we have to flatten the curve!” Check, not that there is any evidence that the curve wouldn’t have been flattened if we did nothing. Well, now many leftists in state and federal government are fighting tooth and nail to not return things to normal. Now it’s “we have to save grandma and cannot have one more death or you will have blood on your hands!” There is a term for this: moving the goal posts. The Covid panic was never about saving people, it was about seizing control and transforming, I would say destroying, the country and society. It has to stop, now!
The April labor report came out today and of course it was quite ugly. Unemployment as reported soared to 14% in the month but in reality it sits closer to 20%. Some interesting side notes came out as well. Women are being harder hit that men by the tune of 2%. Also disproportionately impacted were low income workers and minorities. Soon we are going to hear from the left: “Covid is not only racist it’s sexist!” No, but the idiotic draconian policies being enacted by corrupt leftist politicians and championed by their dishonest toadies in the left-wing media ARE in fact racist and sexist, if anything involving this mess is. Food for thought.

The Covid ‘Crisis’ Never Existed and We Need To Go Back to Normal Immediately
I predicted here over a month ago that the Covid hysteria and the resultant draconian shutdowns might end up being the biggest con foisted on the human race in history, and it is starting to look like I am right.
Leave it to the most honest sports guy in the business to publish the most accurate summary of Covid studies, and the results show overwhelmingly that Covid is not as virulent nor as deadly as our governments and the corrupt left-wing media want you to believe:

Why hasn’t the “mainstream” media done this. Sure, early on there were a few well-meaning medical people urging caution, but Covid containment is long past the point of “saving the people”. It is about power, control and money. The extent to which governments around the world have restricted or eliminated freedoms is beyond breathtaking. This is like a dry-run at a police state. And many in the medical community (Dr Fauci – don’t shake hands but Tinder hookups are OK) are complicit.
So we closed 30-40% of our economy, put 20 million people out of work, gave the Fed control over vast swaths of the financial markets, took away personal liberties, ended our kids’ school years and in many cases ceased to educate them (especially stupid given that studies show kids neither get Covid nor transmit it), and shut down all of our sports, from youth to high school to college and pro. All to eradicate something that may turn out to be less deadly than the common flu.
It is a small thing relatively (if you actually believe you are saving lives, which apparently we were not) but we ruined the end of middle school, high school and college for millions. There are a million stories about how the Covid lockdown has changed people’s lives for the worst. A couple of anecdotes: the week the world “stopped” my son’s high school was going for state titles in two separate sports. With spring wiped out my senior daughter’s highly-ranked tennis team had its season wiped out. These are things the kids will never get back. Those opportunities and memories are gone forever. There are probably tens of thousands of similar stories around the country, and it is just wrong. It looks like we stopped life for nothing.
The Covid madness must end immediately. Totalitarian politicians in this country (most though not all on the far-left) are using the ‘crisis’ solely to obtain power at this point. The one thing you can do: VOTE THE POWER-MAD LEFTISTS AND TOTALITARIANS OUT OF OFFICE IN NOVEMBER!

Fact: so far the “sky-is-falling” models have grossly over-stated the severity of the Corona Virus epidemic.
Fact: we have caused untold damage to country’s economy and psyche.
Fact: other causes of death have mysteriously plummeted in the US. Over-counting of Covid deaths?
Fact: to date Covid has caused far fewer deaths in the US than a normal, not severe flu.
Fact: healthy people rarely die or even get sick from Covid.
Fact: leftists in state and local government are taking advantage of this “crisis” to pass illegal and unconstitutional edicts. Perhaps the country’s worst offender is Michigan’s Gretchen Whitmer.
Speculation: when this is over we will view this as one of the greatest cons ever to be foisted upon the American people. I rarely deal in absolutes but I say it is at least 50/50 that this is the result. The “models” predicting a million deaths, then 200,000 “best case” are now at 60,000, and I will take the “under”. We have hurt many people financially, mentally and physically. People will die (or already have) because of our reaction to Covid, not IN SPITE OF it. We have bankrupted businesses, we have ruined the school year for our children and young adults, we have handed over our many freedoms, and on and on. We have allowed medical bureaucrats and corrupt politicians to take over the country, all the while lining their pockets and grabbing power.
Nobody said we have a right to a risk-free existence, but that is what many seem to be selling.

In fact, in areas where Covid outbreaks are minimal, hospitals and medical facilities are empty, apparently causing cutbacks and even layoffs. The behavior here is obvious as the corrupt media (mostly left but including some on the right) have terrified people to the point they won’t seek healthcare unless it is critical. Now some of this is positive as it has freed up capacity in hot spots, and it is well known that many older people tend to unnecessarily be “frequent flyers”.

But that does not stop pathological liars like MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” from stating “everyone saw this coming except Trump”. And what about the fact that Trump’s China travel ban was the first meaningful step anyone outside of China took?
