And then over at formerly excellent Northwestern University in Evanston Illinois, where literally everything these days seems to be about race or perversion, you have this lunacy:

Now I know it is only one student’s crazy opinion, but don’t kid yourself. This is quite indicative of the type of student NU is attracting and the education they are getting. There has not been a single student at NU who has actually experienced Jim Crow laws in decades, but there it is. Any parent who send their kid here needs to have their head examined if they are not a raving Marxist. Having a Northwestern degree used to be an accomplishment…now it is becoming a source of embarrassment.

Northwestern President Blasts Student Protestors

Northwestern University, considered one of the top schools in the country, has lurched to the left in recent years like so many universities. Lately, a small cabal of radical leftist snowflakes has been increasingly running herd at the school. Last week it turned ugly with a “protest” causing not insignificant damage on campus and an ugly scene at President Morton Schapiro’s house.

I could have predicted this would happen. Appease the crazy mob and you get more mob. Although it took being personally attacked to get his attention, Schapiro, himself a liberal/leftist, responded with a blistering criticism of those involved.

Now what needs to happen is for there to be multiple expulsions. It is also worth noting that Evanston, where NU is located, is not happy about this situation. Businesses have apparently been targeted and defaced and protests have shut down the town’s business district. Not a way to “win friends”. It appears That NU and Schapiro are learning the lesson that Marxists mobs always come for those who have more, even if they are initially sympathetic.

This is very damning. Northwestern, with one of the most prestigious so-called “journalism” schools in the world (I am not sure what they even teach in “journalism” anymore if it isn’t Marxism 101) has taken $340mm from the Qatar Foundation since 2012. Qatar is a well-known sponsor of Islamic terrorism. At a time when US colleges are coming under extreme scrutiny for taking money from foreign governments (China) and often not reporting it, this is a very bad look for one of America’s “prestigious” universities. Higher education in the US is really in trouble.

If these climate clowns were actually serious they should demand their schools eliminate their entire athletic programs. After all, sports is just frivolous entertainment and a lot of energy resources are wasted putting events on and transporting teams and fans to the venues.
