The Schizophrenia of Leftist Feminism

I don’t know what these lunatics want. They say they want women to be strong and empowered (and they should be) but then they infantize women like Christine Ford. She is too weak in their eyes to withstand even gentle questioning. In the “metoo” era woman have once again become helpless damsels. They say they don’t want women to be viewed as sex objects, but then they cheer the hyper-sexualization of everything and revel in their consequence-free “sexual liberation”. They want women to have a voice but then they shut down any woman who disagrees with their far-left world view. They say they are concerned about “women’s health” but then ignore the vast amounts of data that show abortion is harmful to a woman’s mental AND physical health.

The bottom line is, leftist feminism is not really what it purports to be, and has done great harm to women. It is nothing more than leftism wrapped in a cozy, dishonest, harmful blanket that is antithetical to most women’s needs.

University Of Michigan’s Bias Response Team

I had a exchange with a recent U of M grad over the University’s “Bias Response Team”. The University is being sued by several organizations claiming it infringes on free speech. You can see U of M’s description here:

I expressed my displeasure with such Orwellian bodies, to which the person (snowflake) said in a huffy, angry tone “well, I support it, because there have been numerous incidents of racism on campus”. I would dispute his characterization of a handful of incidents, several of which have proven to be hoaxes, to be signs of rampant racism. But if you accept his premise my response was:

  1. The way to defeat bad or unsavory speech is with more speech, not by eliminating said speech. I oppose real racism, but to quote one of my favorite sports personalities “call me a free speech absolutist.”
  2. The policies in the above link are vague and unclear. A bias incident can be “unintentional”. What is this? It’s like the USSR.
  3. The bias response team is open to any perceived slight, not just racism. Will it be applied evenly? What about conservative students who loathe Antifa or communism? Will they get an audience? I doubt it.
  4. There is no evidence that said incidences of racism were perpetrated by U of M students. The campus is open. People come and go. It could have been townies. In which case, what does this accomplish?

Besides a war on society, culture and language, the left is waging war on wisdom literally making our country dumber and less sensical. Some of it is simply silly, but much of it is very dangerous. Leftists do not want people to think, they want them to emote. They want a bunch of senseless drones who march in lock-step with leftist ideology. This is what has become of the Democrat party.

American Higher Education In Crisis State

It is no secret that a majority of US colleges and universities have been overrun by leftist professors and administrators in recent decades, and that they have changed these institutions for the worse (unless you are a socialist or like Antifa). It is also no secret that college costs are ever inflating to the point that many question the value of a higher education. What is not as well known is that students are not learning anything. Studies show that proficiency rates for college grads are dropping across disciplines and that students spend more time playing than learning. Colleges have spent billions on luxury dorms, social halls and athletic facilities to the point that they have become country clubs, or for many of today’s thumb-sucking snowflakes, expensive playpens.

Most public institutions are infected with leftists as are many of the formerly “top” private liberal arts schools, like the entire Ivy League. These schools have no interest in teaching their students HOW to think, they are only interested in teaching them WHAT to think. This is called indoctrination. Out are traditional studies in the humanities and hard sciences, in are worthless programs in women’s, gender, and race studies. As a result students graduate with worthless degrees and heavily indebted.

This is a national crisis. If you want to get your child a high-quality education I would avoid state schools and the “well known” liberal arts schools like the plague. Look instead to top conservative schools like Hillsdale, Liberty or St Johns NM. Here is a list of some top conservative institutions:

Another place to look is schools with a strong faith-based orientation, like Catholic U, Ave Maria, Hope College or BYU. If you are interested in the hard sciences, look at schools like MIT, Cal Tech, Rice, University of Chicago, the Naval and Air Force Academies, Carnegie Mellon and the like.
