Yep. Predictable for a nincompoop leftist. Here are a few facts for this dummy. A Detroit Lion player dropped dead of a heart attack on field in 1970; was it due to “racism”? Concussions leading to brain damage have always been a problem as it turns out. Prior to the 1980’s a majority of players were white. Was that “racism”? In fact today’s players are better cared for than any generation before them. The fact that Damar is alive is a testament to the incredible life-saving care he received, care that most of us, even rich whites would likely never get if we dropped in the street. Furthermore, nobody is MAKING anyone play professional football!

Thank goodness one prominent voice called out this moron: Hall Of Fame coach, player and black man Tony Dungy called it “ridiculous”. The sad fact is that leftists hate football and they do not want black men getting ahead in the world. The NFL is a meritocracy and has probably created more black millionaires than any business in the US. The writer, Tracie Canada is an imbecile and Scientific America has become a parody rag. Despite a dream match-up with the NFL’s number one offense in Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes vs Tom Brady, Super Bowl ratings plunged 15% to the lowest level since 2007. The apologists are blaming Covid reduced viewing parties, cord cutting and the bad game (KC’s injury ravaged O-line grounded its offense). I’m calling BS. The NFL better watch out: this is the warning shot. The entire event was desultory. Non-stop tributes to the Wuhan Flu and racialist BLM driven virtue signaling. Even the ads stunk for the most part. The broadcast was depressing and the game worse. You won’t find many bigger football fans, and even I found the event unwatchable, and I had a dog in the fight: the Chiefs who I have been with from a small boy during their first Super Bowl run in 1969. The 2020 Super Bowl was a joy for us long-suffering Chiefs’ fans. 2021 felt like a funeral for the NFL.

Make no mistake: as I warned the far-left Marxists are trying to take over and ruin sports, just like they ruin everything. If the NFL doesn’t watch out it will be destroyed. The playoffs were devoid of all the leftist silliness, but the Super Bowl was ruined by it.

It just made Patrick Mahomes a half black/half white man, and by all accounts great guy the highest paid player in NFL history after making Russell Wilson, another black man and all-around good guy the highest paid player last year. Yeah, that’s racist. It just shows if you work hard, do the right things, perform and don’t be a total prick (Colin Kaepernick) the NFL, one of the county’s ultimate meritocracies, will reward you. I only mention Mahomes racial background to destroy the narrative. I do not care if he is black, white, brown, green or pink! He earned it.

The Left Destroys Everything (or Tries To)

Let’s not allow them to ruin sports. The left has already destroyed journalism. They have damaged education immeasurably. They have tried mightily to ruin entertainment. They have tried with sports but have yet to succeed. There are a few reasons for this. In certain sports the fan base skews conservative. Very few sports are run by or followed by leftists primarily. Fans tend to be patriotic. People want their sports free of politics. The misguided kneeling protests in the NFL and the politicization of ESPN, both of which damaged their businesses, are proof of this. In addition, sports represents a meritocracy and a real opportunity to compete and socialize with people from diverse backgrounds. Sports usually bring out the best in us. My kids have had the opportunity to compete with and against kids who are white, black, Asian, and Indian with not a single issue or problem. They are teammates, opponents, friends and are respected as human beings, not as some racial group. Sports unites us, but leftism divides.

You can count on the far-left to use the Floyd killing and domestic unrest to once again politicize sports. It is already happening, from the shameful bullying of Drew Brees, who said nothing wrong, to the NFL prostrating itself at the alter of BLM. And it is going to get worse. It is probably a blessing right now that we are largely sports-free, saving us from the preachy lecturing from a bunch of multi-multi-millionaires. One black ex-football player nailed it when he said “the NFL has done more to lift black men out of poverty than perhaps any business in the country’s history. quit complaining”. If athletes and leagues want to use their bully pulpit to tell us how terrible we are and to repent, I suggest we all vote with our feet. Sports are supposed to be an escape. I am perfectly fine playing rec sports as an adult and watching my kids compete in high school. I am happy to walk away from sports entertainment if the left takes over.

The NFL Had An Epic Championship Sunday and Ruined It

For the first time ever both NFL Championship games went to overtime, and the NFL ruined both games, but for different reasons.

In game one we witnessed perhaps the most egregiously bad no-call in the history of the game, as a mugging (calling it pass interference doesn’t do it justice) by an LA Rams defensive back was inexplicably missed on a key third down late in the fourth quarter. If called properly, New Orleans would have either scored a touchdown or kicked a last-second field goal and almost certainly won. Instead they settled for a field goal allowing LA time to kick a long last-second field goal themselves, tying the game and sending it to OT where the Rams won. What makes it even more inexplicable is that a ref is seen standing no more than five yards away clearly looking at the play! How does this clown have a job??!! And it gets better: there were clearly not one but TWO penalties on the play: the other being helmet-to-helmet contact.

In game two, The hated New England Pats and the KC Chiefs staged an epic back-and-forth game that went to OT tied 31 all. The game was then basically won………..by flipping a coin. Yea! Other than NE fans, everyone on the planet wanted to see KC and Patrick Mahomes get one last shot at glory, but it was not to be. The NFL needs to change its OT rules for playoffs immediately: give each team one possession, regardless if the team getting the ball first scores a TD. Play 10 minutes minimum, or 15. Adopt the college rule: equal possessions at the 25. I have always liked the college rule better even though its’ detractors say “it is not real football”: it’s more exciting and equitable. A coin-flip isn’t real football either. Don’t like starting at the 25? Start at the 40. Regardless, the current system stinks. With two gassed defenses on the field, it was little doubt that whoever won the coin toss would score a TD. Sad way to end an epic game.

Clay Travis nails him here as “the dumbest man in sports who’s opinions have ever been taken seriously” for comparing NFL owners to slave holders. You notice that he calls them out as “old white men”, an obviously racist comment. What happens when the NFL inevitably get a black owner? What about the numerous black coaches….are they slave masters? What about the white players, are they not also “slaves”?

His statement is so patently stupid that it doesn’t really even deserve attention. Even worse, this is a guy making millions off of his shoe contract in which the shoes are LIERALLLY made by SLAVE LABOR in Asia. What a lack of self awareness. It looks increasingly like the NFL and its players are losing badly while Trump and patriotic Americans are winning. Remember when the whole thing started as a protest against “racism”, police brutality and America’s entrenched “unfairness”? Well, now it’s apparently about “unity and equality”, whatever that means.

Funny, but last nights’ expression of unity (locking arms) did not go real well for the players. Leftist news media like Yahoo is desperate to make you think that “fans joined the players” by locking arms, while the WaPo said that “some” fans joined in. I have yet to see any film or picture showing fans joining in. In fact, many brought flags, shouted “USA”, put their hands on their hearts and loudly sang the anthem. It was obvious who’s side they are on, and it was not the players. In the world of leftist media, I guess “some” might equal “two”. Very fake news. Alive and well. Let us call it what it is: left-wing propaganda.

Funny, a backup QB kneels and insults his country, and his teammates have to respect his decision. A lineman who did three tours of duty and is a real hero decides to break from his team and show respect to the flag and country and he has to apologize. At least his coach didn’t throw him under the bus.
