Papal Embarrassment

For those of you not following this, the current Pope is an avowed leftist. To him, “climate change”, nationalism, and unrestrained capitalism are bigger threats to the world than radical Islam. He cannot even bring himself to criticize Muslim terrorists. Like most leftists, he probably buys the “oppressed” label. He is often an embarrassment as a Christian leader and is questionable as to his fitness to be Pope. And I say that as a practicing Catholic. Thankfully, there is growing consternation within the church.

The new party of “no”. Remember during the Obama years how the media parroted that the GOP was the “no” party? Remember when the media said they were going to have to be objective in the days immediately after Trump’s victory? Yeah, so do I. Guess they forgot their pledge.

Time For “Conservative” Never-Trumpers to Come Home

Great stuff from Dennis Prager. Those who claim to be Republicans or conservatives need to get behind the President now. Prager makes the important point that some of these people do not understand that we are in a civil war with the far-left. Others are snooty elites, or are simply engaged in ex-post rationalization: they did not support Trump before so they cannot now.

If you told any of these people that their President appointed a conservative constitutionalist to the Supreme Court, bombed Syria, started to roll back Obamacare, rescinded hundreds of crippling regulations, proposed a budget with massive cuts, and condemned Iran in front of the Muslim world, all in the first 100 days, they would be jumping for joy if it was not Trump.

RIP Chris Cornell

As a huge grunge rock fan and amateur guitarist, I am saddened by the news of Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell’s passing Wednesday, possibly from suicide. Strangely, he and the recently reunited Soundgarden had just played a show in Detroit.

While not a fan of Cornell’s far-left activism, I am a big fan of Soundgarden and Cornell the artist. He was a powerful vocalist for a band known for its heavy sound, creativity and unique arrangements. These all combined to make them an original, one-of-a-kind band. With his passing the grunge era has lost it’s four greatest vocalists and front men: he along with Kurt Cobain, Scott Weiland and Layne Staley defined the era for me and changed music forever.

Cutting Through The Lies, Propaganda and Assorted Crap Concerning Trump “Scandals”

President Trump has certainly not helped himself with his tweets, contradicting statements and shoot-from-the-hip approach (firing Comey?). However, the attacks on him from the far-left, the left-wing media and even some Republicans is so over-the-top it defies description. Treasonous comes close to describing their behavior, not his. Cutting through the crap, here are some facts.

Suggesting to former FBI director Comey that he would like General Flynn to not be investigated or prosecuted further doesn’t come close to obstruction of justice. If it did, Comey was obligated BY LAW to immediately contact the Justice Department that a possible violation had taken place. If he did not (as is apparent) Comey himself is guilty of a felony. Furthermore, by dismissing Comey, Trump is not guilty of obstruction even if it was over the Russian investigation, as the director does not head up an investigation and it will continue. Calls for impeachment on this basis are stupid, dishonest or both. And oh, by the way, what did Obama do when he publicly proclaimed Hillary Clinton’s innocence before the FBI or Justice weighed in?

Next, regarding Trump sharing intelligence with Russia, that is his right to do even if it is misguided. And oh, it is something Obama did repeatedly. And now we are getting a special prosecutor to look into the Russian ties, so our side caved. Maybe it’s a good thing for transparency sake but it is unnecessary and unprecedented. In eight years of non-stop Obama corruption not one was appointed during that time. Not for fast and furious, DOJ spying, the IRS disgrace, Benghazi or Hillary Clinton.

The real scandal here is the corruption of the media and within the government bureaucracy. Crimes are being committed daily by anti-Trump bureaucrats, and they need to be rooted out and prosecuted. All the sources for these stories are unnamed leakers. If this had happened to Obama the media would be have a hissyfit and calling it all “racist!” The deep state bureaucracy of government agencies appears to be attempting to take down a duly elected president in some kind of illegal coup. The left plays very dirty, and it is way past time for Trump, his supporters, and those on the right who are infuriated by these illegal, undemocratic and unconstitutional actions to fight back just as hard. The GOP controls every branch of the government but it appears that the Democrats are running things…it is an outrage! Comey has notes on Trump? Supoena all his notes, especially those on Obama and Clinton. They are government property, not his. Reopen investigations into all of the Obama scandals. That will get their attention.

Washington is a den of thieves, whores, rats and vipers. I thought Trump would be better prepared for political hardball, but hopefully he will learn. It is obvious that the left and even some who are supposed to be on our side are out to destroy his presidency, and they will stop at nothing to accomplish it.
